Antique Arts and Crafts Turquoise Gold Brooch Locket
I fell under the warming spell of this very, very Arts and Crafts style brooch. It’s a locket, but it’s never been a pendant, it was most certainly made as a brooch and it’s incredibly charming. Set on the front with an off round piece of turquoise, this wonderful piece has lovely leaf and vine details.This locket brooch was hand crafted in 1909, at the height of the Art and Crafts movement. It is made of 9 karat gold with a buttery yellow hue. The locket opens to reveal 2 frames ready to hold your photos. The locket measures 26 x 26 x 12 mm and weighs 6.4 grams. It has the hallmarks that show it was made in Birmingham, England in 1909 of 9 karat gold, it has a very worn makers mark that I think is “HW”.I offer a 3-5 payment layaway on most items purchased for full retail price, please inquire if you are interested in setting up a layaway.
