Antique French Citrine Diamond Cluster Ring 18k Gold

This ring would go perfectly with afternoon tea in a porcelain cup; the sun slanting through the windows highlighting it's rich whiskey color, the diamonds sending rainbows of color around the room. This French beauty is totally hand made in 18 karat gold. The center stone is a long rectangular cut of the richest, warm golden orange citrine gem which measures 15.5z5.9x45 mm and weighs about 2.9 carats. The fabulous citrine is surrounded by equally fabulous diamonds, 40 in all. The diamonds play the supporting role to devastating effect, they are Old European cuts and weigh approximately 2.65 carats in total. The ring is a size 8.5 and could be sized up or down to suit. Overall this ring measures 23.2 mm north to south, 23 mm across and sits 5.1 mm off the finger, and narrows to 6 mm wide at the back of the band, it weighs 7.4 grams. Made around 1890, this ring is European in origin, and is marked with the French assay mark of the owl It has been further acid tested to verify purity. Th
