Antique Victorian Diamond and Ruby Ring

This show stopping Victorian Ring contrasts bright and sparkling Old cut diamonds with lively rich red rubies. Made in England c. 1890.  The ring showcases twelve Old European cut diamonds with a total weight of 4 carats. 5 round faceted rubies with a total weight of 3.05 carats.  All measurements have been done in the mount and are approximate. Eight Old European cut diamonds measure 4.5 x 2.8 mm = .4 carats each. 4 measure 3.5 x 2.4 mm = .2 carats each. Five rubies measure 5 x 3.4 mm = .61 carats each. Hand crafted with no hallmarks, the ring tests as 18 karat gold. Diamonds are set in silver, rubies in gold. The overall face dimensions are 15.5 mm N-S, 24 mm across, 6 mm of the finger  and weighs: 7.4 grams.
