Antique Victorian Diamond and Sapphire Ring in 18k Gold, Hallmarked 1879

Oh, I remember well the day that I bought this beauty, I could see it glittering the second it came out of her purse, she kept showing me other things, brooches and such. But I could barely pay attention, it kept catching my eye with every turn of my head as I got more and more impatient for her to hand it over. Once I saw these diamonds come to life in the sunlight, slipped it on my finger and saw the shimmering ocean in the depths of the sapphire, I was hooked, it had to be mine!  This wonderful 7 stone Victorian ring is hand crafted in 18 karat gold. It is set with 3 sparkling old European cut diamonds and four bright blue natural sapphires. The center diamond measures 4.3x4.4x3.8 mm and weighs approximately .55 carats, the other two diamonds weigh about .18 carats each for a total diamond weight of .9 carats. I didn’t notice until after I purchased it, but one of the sapphires is a replacement stone, three of them are slightly oval and the replacement is more round, together the
