John Rackham was his real name, but everyone who knew him feared him and everyone who feared him knew him as Calico Jack. In a life that reads like a Starz TV series, he lived, loved and thieved the high seas in the early 1700s in a time that was known as the Golden Age of Piracy. He teamed up with Mary Read and Anne Bonny, two of the most notorious female Pirates to have ever lived. Together they stole ships, built up crews from the ports of Jamaica and the Caribbean and terrorized the high seas.
