This antique Victorian buckle memorial ring was handcrafted in Chester, England in 1896. A traditional buckle motif, representing the endless and eternal love felt for the departed, this beautifully engraved 15 karat gold band is accented with black enamel at the top, and encircled with intricately braided hair that sits below a pierced and lovingly hand engraved floral motif that runs all the way around the ring, showcasing the spectacular skill and craftsmanship the Victorians dedicated to honoring those who had passed on before them. It has been fully hallmarked and bears the gold purity marks of ".625" and “15” for 15 karat gold, the town mark for Chester, and the date letter “N” for 1895. This ring weighs 2.2 grams and is a size 6. The ring width is 6.1 mm all the way around the ring and it sits 3 mm off the finger.
