Victorian Turquoise Diamond Forget-Me-Not Ring Gold
I like to think of rings like this one as ‘Courting Rings’, the kind of ring that a young gentleman might give a young lady to ‘show his intentions’. I can picture a buttoned up Victorian youth sitting awkwardly in a parlor, presenting his love with a small bouquet of Forget-me-not flowers, this wonderful ring around the stems. He is asking a question and the smile broadening her face is all the answer he needs. Can’t you just see the joy sparkling in her eyes? This antique Victorian turquoise and diamond ring was handcrafted in England around 1880. It features a forget-me-not flower motif made up of five turquoises and one diamond at the center. Each of the turquoises are round en cabochon cut. This ring was made in 15 karat gold and boasts scrolling shoulders. This ring weighs 2.2 grams and is a size 7.5. The ring face measures 9.6 x 9.2 x 4 mm. It bears the gold purity mark, “15ct”. Oh, what a ring! It’s feminine and strong with a symbolic motif just waiting to adorn your finger.
