Big Gem Tobacco

Big GemNicotiana tabacum L[ Approximately 100 seeds per packet ] 'Big Gem' plants grow up to seven feet tall producing large leaves that reach eighteen inches wide by thirty inches long. Historically flue-cured, it air-cures to a light brown color. Historically used for cigarettes and pipe blends. 'Big Gem' was sent to us by tobacco variety preservationist David Pendergrass of Tennessee, whose original sample was USDA accession number PI 552343.
