California Blackeye #5 Southern Pea

California Blackeye #5 70 days — An old standard and probably one of the most commonly recognized of the Southern pea varieties. 'California Blackeye #5' plants are vigorous, high yielding, have a high bushy growth habit with lavender flowers, setting eight inch pods at the foliage level. It is also resistant to wilt and root knot nematodes.[1]  The peas can be harvested at the green shell stage at 60 to 65 days and at the dry pea stage at about 80 to 85 days. 'California Blackeye #5' remains one of the most popular varieties for the garden. Each ounce is approximately 90 seeds.
