Midnight Snack Sweet Corn85 days — Very sweet and flavorful, the kernels of 'Midnight Snack' sweet corn are light colored at the fresh eating stage, but darken to a deep blue-black color at maturity and as it dries. The plants are five to six feet tall and bear seven inch long ears, containing fourteen to sixteen rows of kernels. It is a very productive variety as stalks can produce up to three ears each and tillers producing even more! Developed by the late Dr. Elwyn M. Meader of the University of New Hampshire during his "retirement years" and was released in 1978. It is now fairly rare and in limited supply. Each packet contains one ounce, which is approximately 125 seeds.
