Viking Shield With Carved Norse Drake Ornaments 24" Battleworn Shield Armor gift This highly detailed piece features historical Jellinge Norse drake ornamental patterns carved into the plywood, both on the central section of the shield, and on the rim. It is also featuring Viking-style braids, steel bolts, and a hand-hammered umbo, and it comes with a wood handlebar installed on the back. The shield is made out of 15mm thick birch plywood and finished with a wood-burning technique, as well as varnishing with linen seed oil and an acrylic-based coat. The shield can be used as a decorative wall hanger or as a functional piece for medieval reenactment or LARP.
