L'Aventure - Estate Cuvée 2021
Before becoming Owner and Winemaker of L’Aventure, Stephan Asseo began his career by first making wine in 1982 after establishing Domaine de Courterillac in Bordeaux. For the following 15 years he spent his time fine tuning his artisan winemaking techniques in his home country, he began searching for the best terroir for his specific style of craftsmanship and landed on Paso Robles, California. The combination of the Santa Lucia Mountain Range, the deep calcareous soils, and the maritime cooling influences allowed for the topography to be ideal for Asseo and his world class wines. The 127 acre estate in southwest Paso Robles is planted to Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Roussanne, Viognier, and Grenache Blanc. The popularity of the L’Aventure wines has been propelled further due to their small production of only 8,000 cases, and continue to receive positive reception vintage after vintage. 19 Months in 84% New French Oak, 16% 1-Year Old French Oak, with m
