Nervi Conterno - Gattinara 'Vigna Molsino' 2018 (Magnum)

Nervi is the oldest winery in Gattinara. Gattinara is home to some of the best Nebbiolo vineyards in the world.  Roberto Conterno (famed Giacomo Conterno) has been involved Nervi since 2011, when Erling Astrup, a wine collector, and friend of his, purchased the winery and sought his counsel. In 2018, Conterno bought the estate outright. "The 2018 Gattinara Molsino emerges from a relatively warm, sunny spot on the estate at 400 meters in elevation. It presents myriad shades of dark cherry/plum fruit, sage, menthol, new leather and dark spices. Potent and virile in the glass, the Molsino possesses tremendous drive as it builds into a deep, beautifully resonant finish that is utterly captivating.
