Victorian Rose Soap

Description:   We have dozens of beautiful rose plants scattered around the farm and were inspired to create a bar of soap that rivaled their beauty and elegance and reminded us of days gone by, something antique, rustic, old fashioned. The result was our Victorian Rose soap bar from the Violet Valley Soap and Lavender Shoppe. To achieve our objective, we collected rose hips, ground them into a fine powder and blended directly into our soap base. Rose hips contain a very high concentration of vitamin C in addition to vitamins E, A, and D, which make them a potent antioxidant. They are also high in fatty acids, giving them anti-inflammatory properties. In powder form, they act as a gentle exfoliant. Next, we collected the rose petals, which we dried and used to garnish the top.
