Difficulty: Intermediate   The Summit Dress features an effortless loose shape and elegant geometric patterning inspired by the Medieval garments excavated at Herjolfsnes in Greenland. The timeless base pattern has been given a modern update with roomy pockets, fully machine sewn construction, two hem lengths, a low or high scooped neckline, and straight or lantern sleeves. The relaxed fit means the dress slips over the head with no need for a zipper or buttons.  The pattern features inset triangular front and back godets and two flaring side panels for maximum swish. The godets may be cut with seams back and front, inspired by the extant garments the pattern is based on, or in one piece without a seam. View A is full length, with a high scooped neckline and historically inspired elbow length sleeves with side-back seam and inset gusset.
