BEFORE ORDERING - A Note About ISLAND Range Hoods Island Hoods are ceiling-mounted and are more difficult to install and are more difficult to have inspected than wall-mounted hoods. Our island range hoods are made as a one-piece unit which means they may not be inspectable in the manner a local inspector needs. Before ordering, consult with local inspectors to ensure a one-piece hood meets their inspection requirements. Ensure a Licensed Contractor is installing the hood using methods that meet all local, state, and federal requirements.  What is the hood made of? Our island hoods are made of 3/4” thick hardwood veneer plywood. What are the interior dimensions of the hood? Our island hoods are made of 3/4″ hardwood veneer plywood. To determine the interior dimensions, subtract 1.5″ from the size. For instance, for a 36″ wide x 22.5" deep hood the interior width would be 34.5″ wide and the interior depth would be 21" deep.
