Bow Tip Replacement - Plastic

A plastic tip can be used on less expensive bows.  The repair is generally a bit easier due to the nature of plastic over bone.  The decision between plastic and bone is based on the cost of the bow and what was originally there.   Cracked or broken tips should always be repaired to protect your bow.   Tips break for many reasons.  This leaves your bow vulnerable to additional damage.  The tip lining protects the wood from cracking and adds additional strength.   Replacing the tip involves replacing the bone and ebony portion, then carving it to match the flow of the head of the bow.  It requires precision and accuracy.
