BLS Provider SKILLS ONLY (HeartCode BLS)
HeartCode BLS is a BLS Provider Skills Only Course with three elements: The student must first complete the classroom portion and test online then receive an "Online BLS Provider Skills Only Certificate." The student submits the "Online BLS Provider Skills Only Certificate" to instructor before the classroom skills assessment. (Certificate may be emailed or a copy of document brought to the classroom). The student demonstrates hands-on skills in team dynamics: assessments, compressions, breaths, AED, choking procedures, one and two-persons rescue for adults and infants. Students who successfully demonstrate the skills in accordance with AHA guidelines receive an AHA BLS Provider Certification valid for two years. The course is for first responders, healthcare providers, hospital personnel, and others deemed necessary by their occupation. This course is most often chosen for BLS Renewal candidates. Important: Payment for assigned seats is due before 9:00 a.m. the day before class.
