This name of the icon comes from “the quick appearance of mercy and fulfilment of requests that are addressed to her”. The icon depicts the Infant in the arms of the Virgin Mary, who offers a blessing with His right hand and holds a scroll in His left. The reverse side depicts an image of the feast of the Holy Trinity in the form of three angels symbolizing the incarnation of God, who is one in essence and but who also exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
