Tree of the Beholder

Hand sculpted from scratch, I made this cursed creature as a TTRPG boss that inspires both revulsion and pity. It was once a woman who died protecting an ancient tree from the malicious attention of a magic wielder. Woman and tree merged into one being as a result of a magic attack gone wrong. They have since watched generations of their town be born and die while rooted, wide eyed and alone together, for hundreds of years. Their story became superstition, and callous men of the town sometimes attack the cursed tree for sport. Few land blows, and even fewer survive the encounter.
