It’s a thing.  When my son was 3 or 4, we were stuck in traffic, so I came up with games we could play using just our brains and words. One was “name all the sports you can think of”. We took turns. After we got through the basics (football, basketball, soccer, etc.), he piped up from the back seat: Mooseback riding!
