The protagonist of this story is a High School student living a regular life. Deciding to ask out the beautiful Kaho Serizawa just before summer vacation, he wakes up the next day to find that summer vacation is over and he has jumped to September 1st. His grief-stricken classmates inform him that Kaho has died in an accident on August 31st, leaving him to grapple with the problem of how to avert her fate.
