Agora Extra Virgin Olive Oil
AGORA--Indigenous to the Greek island of Crete, Koroneiki olive trees are grown under the watchful eyes of the farmers’ cooperative in Kritsa. The koroneikiolive is considered the “queen of olives” in Greece and is recognized world-wide as one of the preferred olives for oil production. These hearty trees have produced the extraordinary heritage Greek olives, prized for the grassy fresh aroma and delicate taste, for over 3000 years. The ‘grassy’ freshness is the defining signature of agora, making it the ideal component with one of vomFASS’ fruited vinegars for delicious and well-balanced vinaigrette. In addition to refining fish or making salad dressings, this light, cholesterol-free oil adds a nice finishing touch to pasta, a delicious crowning over fish and lamb and in fruity salad dressings. The tiny Koroneiki comes into production early in the season and sets heavy crops. The olives are very small but of excellent quality for oil. To make Agora, olives are pressed when young
