Silver Icicle Christmas Tree Jewelry Dish, Sparkling Holiday Evergreen Ceramic Dish

Silver icicles bring me such a feeling of nostalgia and childhood wonder. This version of my Christmas tree has the colors of wintery greens and blues, and sparkling silver icicles (which are actually accents of white gold), capturing the magic of Christmas Eve when we dim the lights and watch the tree sparkle. Trees that remain green through winter have long had a special significance to people throughout the world. In ancient times, even before the advent of Christianity, evergreen branches and boughs were hung in the home to ward away illness and evil spirits. During the dark months of winter, filling the house with evergreens symbolized the strength and triumph of life.
