Sunburst Gerbera Daisy Jewelry Dish, Ceramic with Gold Accents

Gerbera daisies are actually more closely related to sunflowers than they are to daisies. Ther gerbera daisy represents happiness, warmth, and positivity - looking at the beautiful sunny color, it's no surprise to associate it with these things.  This sparkling yellow-orange flower is sparkling like a little sun itself, full of joy and warm colors. The delicate and detailed imprint of a single flower is carefully made in clay which is then bisque fired,  handpainted with stains and underglazes, and then fired to 2200 degrees F for full maturity of the ceramic. The ceramic glaze transforms into a layer of glass coating the piece. Real 22kt gold accents are added to the rim and to the flower, one dot at a time, and the piece is fired again to bond the gold to the ceramic.
