Celtic Bee Pendant Bees held a special place in Celtic and early Irish monastic life, where beekeeping sustained communities and beeswax lit manuscript workshops. This pendant captures the honeybee in sterling silver, its wings rendered in open Celtic knotwork with antiqued recesses that bring out the interlace detail. The striped body and pointed abdomen ground the design in the natural form while the knotwork wings give it a distinctly Celtic character.
