Exceptional Original D. F. Barry Albumen Photograph Cabinet Card of Crow Indian, White Bear

An exceptionally clear studio albumin photograph measuring 3-13/16" x 5-1/2" on original D. F. Barry studio mount measuring 4-1/4" x 6-7/8" depicting  Crow Indian, White Bear, in a seated portrait, wearing a patterned fabric shirt and adorned with his shell jewelry and a single feather in his unbraided hair; 1/8" long scratch at upper left edge of photograph; contemporary printed caption label affixed to lower margin of mount. The condition of the cabinet card is VERY FINE. Only two copies located on OCLC/WorldCat (Denver Public Library and Montana Historical Society Library). Note: The original glass negative of this image is held by the Denver Public Library. The title "White Bear, Crow" is penciled on the glass; copy photo negative in same library has been cropped removing the title. RARE #001032
