Jackson, Mich.: [John W.] Paine, circa 1890. Albumen photograph measuring 2-7/16" x 5-1/2" on photographer's card mount measuring 2-7/8" x 6-7/16" with titles printed to lower margin mount recto. A beautiful and unusual full length portrait of a young women displaying her unusually long wavy hair which comes close to reaching the floor; the format and size of the photograph perfectly compliments the subject, with the end result being a wonderful example of late 19th century vernacular photography; photo with minor spotting; mount age-tanned and with minor spotting, fading to photographer's imprint and minor damp staining along bottom edge.
