Sarg, Tony. ORIGINAL PEN AND INK DRAWING BY TONY SARG: "ARE ALL MOSQUITOES CARRIERS OF YELLOW FEVER?" PUBLISHED IN THE NOVEMBER 1939 ISSUE OF PARENTS' MAGAZINE. Chicago, Ill.: Parents' Institute, Inc., November 1939. The drawing measures 9-7/8" x 9-7/8" on a 13-1/4" x 16" sheet of heavy weight drawing paper. The drawing features a large, well-mannered and quite happy seeming mosquito as he flies over a hilly, rural setting with his tipped top hat in one hand and a satchel labeled "YELLOW FEVER" in the other hand. This drawing was published on page 42 of the November 1939 issue of Parents' Magazine where it illustrated a section named "Information Tests For Children;" Sarg was a regular contributor to Parents' Magazine throughout the 1930s and early 1940s, supplying the magazine with humorous drawings which often featured his trademark caricatures of animals; drawing is signed "Tony Sarg" at lower left; various printer's notations in the margins, age-tanning along the edges and an area
