(Studdy, G. E.) illustrator. PLAYFUL ANIMALS (CODE NO. 532). [London]: B. B. Ltd., circa 1950. Folio - 12-11/16" x 9-3/4". Staple bound stiff paper wrappers with a wonderful full color drawing after G. E. Studdy of Bonzo fixing to eat a rabbit pie, but the rabbit is jumping out of it before he can take his first bite (!), along with titles printed in black, green and white to both front and back wrappers with a single, almost imperceptible, short (7mm) closed tear to lower edge of front wrapper with no other signs of handling or wear for what is a beautiful copy of the book. [16] pp. including wrappers. Each page features a cast of various animals, eight of which feature G. E. Studdy's famous dog character Bonzo, in humorous situations; drawings are all captioned within text; internally without flaw. The condition of the book is FINE. No copies located on OCLC/WorldCat.
