Large African Market Basket

African Market Baskets™ are strong, durable, colorful and hand-made.  Each basket is unique and beautiful. They are made from river grass, known as “elephant grass” by local weavers in Bolgatanga, Ghana. Baskets are wrapped in a leather or recycled rubber handle.  The leather is made from goat skin and naturally tanned using local seeds and red millet. The rubber comes from the innertube of a bicycle tire. Basket Dimensions: 15″- 17″ diameter and  9″- 11″ tall (not including the handles)
