While vacationing on Maui, Hawaii, I took this photo and it always reminds me of the primal nature of the ocean. I think most of us feel a connection to it any time we are near it. And the waves, especially the waves! The sound of them crashing on the rugged shoreline, the sheer power of them, and the beauty. It strikes me that for billions of years no two waves have been the same. Each one to me is a painting of the beauty of nature. I have taken thousands of photos of waves and every one leaves me in awe of this incredible world we live in. It’s akin to sitting around the campfire staring at the flames. Mesmerizing! To think nearly 80% of our ocean remains unexplored and unknown. The mysteries of the deep are endless and a beauty to be able to capture.
