Magical Maui

The striking red sails contrasting with the bluish green seas was my inspiration for this "photo painting" of a small sailboat taken off the shores of Maui, Hawaii.. I love sailboats because of the way they seem to magically use nature’s power to move. You feel like you are flowing with the sea when you’re on a sailboat, with nothing but the sound of the wind and the waves to keep you company. Sailboats are great places to take time to think about life and what’s important. Here’s an old English Prayer called “Take Time” that sums that up for me: “Take time to work, it is the price of success. Take time to think, it is the source of power. Take time to play, it is the secret of perpetual youth. Take time to read, it is the fountain of wisdom. Take time to be friendly, it is the road to happiness. Take time to dream, it is hitching your wagon to a star. Take time to look around, it is too short a day to be selfish. Take time to laugh, it is the music of the soul.”
