St. Lucia Sunset

My wife Michelle and I were vacationing on the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean Sea in 2011 when I took this photo. We were walking the beach at sunset and as luck would have it these boats that were moored made a perfect foreground for the shot of the sun setting. Once we returned to the Twin Cities, I got to work “painting” the image in Photoshop to give it the impressionistic look I love so much. As I worked on the image I realized how much the photo stirred my imagination. In the photo I see ships sailing towards a mysterious tunnel of light and entering new worlds and dimensions to explore. This is how we should start each day. Who knows what lies ahead? Let the adventure begin!
