Sunrise in Huatulco
Huatulco is a town located at the southern tip of Mexico on the Pacific Ocean. The countryside is rugged, almost desert like with large iguanas roaming the landscape giving it a primordial feel. This sunset picture was taken while I was walking the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean created by volcanic eruptions hundreds of thousands of years ago. The image got me to thinking about a poem by Suzy Kassem in which she talks about the sunrise and sunset of our lives. It is something we all experience, but what comes in between is left up to us to tell our own individual story.
