Dichroic and Mica on Black Oval Pendant

A beautiful Dichroic Oval Pendant. made with dichroic glass which is fascinating as it sparkles and each individual dichroic glass has a transmitted color and a completely different reflected color, as certain wavelengths of light either pass through or are reflected. Dimensions of pendant: .7" x 1..5"    The Stainless Steel Chain is 18" Artistic Process: A mosaic of different dichroic glass with sprinkles of silver mica on top of black casted into a shape, a bail is epoxied to it.  The necklace will be delivered in a box. Dichroic glass - Thin layers of metallic oxides, such as titanium, silicon, and magnesium are deposited upon the surface of the glass in a high temperature, vacuum furnace. This creates a brilliant coating on the glass that displays more than one color, especially when viewed from different angles.
