瓢瓜 Piao Gua tea pot
We are delighted to introduce 瓢瓜 Piao Gua teapot to our collection, in collaboration with One Space studio, located in Yixing city, China. This tea pot is fully handmade, with authentic and high grade 朱泥 Zhuni clay, from Huang Long Shan, one of the most popular raw material for Yixing teapots today. 朱 (zhu) is for cinnabar, vermillion, referring to the bright orange-red color 泥 (ni) is for mud or clay Artist : 陆知航 Lu Zhi Hang Capacity : ~120ml Story : The Huanglong Mountain Zhuni clay used to create this tea pot has a primitive appearance because of its grainy texture. The shape of this tea pot was inspired by the Zhuni Mo Gu teapot from the late Qing Dynasty, exclusively redesigned by teacher & master Ma Pinyi and made by Lu Zhihang, a Zhuni expert contracted by One Space studio. This piece not only posses artistic value but are also very practical, comfortable to use, and suitable to hold.
