We are delighted to introduce 甕 Weng teapot to our collection, in collaboration with One Space studio, located in Yixing city, China. This tea pot is fully handmade, with authentic and high grade 紫泥 Zini Paragenesis, a purple-brown clay from Yixing, China. Artist : 沈儒涛 Shen Ru Tao Capacity : ~120ml Story : This tea pot was created by Shen Rutao, a disciple of Ma Pinyi, who is highly recognized for its mastering of traditional zisha techniques. Shen Rutao is a dedicated student of the art of zisha, and has already attained a deep understanding of the craft due to the tutelage of his teacher, Ma Pinyi. The design of this teapot is inspired by the Weng-shaped teapots of the Qing Dynasty. The straight spout promises a smooth and powerful pour. The shoulders and lid are very steady and strong, and the whole body is tall and straight like a warrior, plumped like a small apple.
