This is the best M1 Garand blank adapter available. Not only is it well made, in the USA- its More adjustable than most. It blends into the rifle so well you can barely tell its there.  It is ideal for film shoots and reenacting were visual authenticity is important and a large, dorky blank adapter can easily erase even a well put together impression. It simply replaces the figure 8 gas cylinder lock and allows you to install set screws with various size holes to adjust the back pressure for blank fire.
