What is the Rain Bird Xeriman Tool? This all-in-one tool makes installing and maintaining a point-source irrigation design a snap. One tool makes it easy to install emitters, remove emitters, and even install the "goof plugs" one uses when you take an emitter out but don't want water pouring out of the hole left behind by the emitter. Why the Rain Bird Xeriman Tool? If you're working with Rain Bird emitters, this is the only tool that will get the job done. Using the Emitter Tool Illustrations and Instructions courtesy of Rain Bird Corporation Step 1 Place the Spot Watering Emitter on end of tool. Press barbed point into side wall of 1/2" Tubing. Note: The Emitter Tool also works with 1/4" Barbed Couplings and with 1/4" Barbed Tees. Step 2 Pull tool away, leaving the Spot Watering Emitter embedded in tubing.
