Biz Markie – “Slugo” Original 2-Inch Multitrack Master Tape (Shakedown Sound Session)
This is the original 2-inch multitrack studio tape of Biz Markie’s early demo session at Arthur Baker’s Shakedown Sound studio, featuring raw, unfiltered performances before his rise to fame. The session was orchestrated by legendary radio DJ Mister Magic, who brought a then-unsigned Biz Markie to the studio in hopes of securing a deal with Baker. Backed by Keith LeBlanc (of Sugar Hill Gang fame) on the DMX drum machine, these recordings capture Biz in his purest form—beatboxing, freestyling, and developing early versions of tracks. Highlights: Original 2-inch multitrack master tape of Biz Markie’s studio session.
