What’s Bootsy Doin’? 12” x 12” promotional poster, 1988

In 1988, after spending the better part of six years off the recording scene, Bootsy returned with the Columbia Records album What’s Bootsy Doin’? The ten-track LP, which featured the lead single “Party on Plastic,” summoned a wide swath of P-Funk family members back to Bootsy’s table, including George Clinton, Bernie Worrell, Gary “Mudbone” Cooper, Mallia Franklin, and Fred Wesley, while also featuring contributions from Bill Laswell and Bootsy’s own mom. This 12” x 12’ promotional poster was primarily distributed to record shops for in-store signing appearances and wall displays.
