I’ve finally done it. Potentially the highlight of my time here at WV. I remember after The Heartland dropped in 2019 and I decided I was “going do this label thing that repressed old classics” I reached out to The Boy Will Drown about doing a record. It was met with tepid optimism - “hey man, maybe!”. Well, in true punisher piece of shit fashion, I kept messaging every 6 months. For 5 years. Every interaction grew warmer. Details started being discussed. Finally we had a deal. It’s 2024, a few month away from WV’s 5th anniversary, and The Boy Will Drown is available on vinyl for the first and only time. What a dream come true! Ah!!!! Historical context aside, this release is so sick because the band was able to find the original engineer exports from the recording of this. We took those, and once again Zach Sebastian over at Third Eye Studios was able to really bring a lot more out of these recordings. This material sounds INSANE.
