Premium Yoshino Hinoki Essential Oil differs from ordinary steam-distilled oil in its extraction method, called decompression and thermal circulation. Yoshino Hinoki lumber is used, with a preference for the core wood, from which the oil is extracted from the red part in the center. The Hinoki wood is fed into a machine, and the inside of the kettle is depressurized and heated water is circulated to heat the wood for extraction. The essential oil, extracted by craftsmen who know Hinoki lumber inside and out, has a unique fragrance.
