WINE EXPERTS The white 2020 Finca Tronco Negro, like all of his wines, closed down when I poured in the glass. A "Viñedo Singular" single-vineyard wine, it comes from a plot planted in the village of Elciego in 1935 on sandstone and limestone soils with silt, marl and clay. lt has notes of fennel and hay and a round and dense palate that has very high acidity of 8.16 grams and a very low pH that make it vibrant despite the relatively high alcohol (14.5%). lt fermented in open-top barrel with carbonic maceration and matured in barrel with the lees for one year. 300 bottles were füled in November 2021. lt should develop nicely in bottle.
