Layer chicks are a cross between Hy-line layers and Rhode Island Red Roosters and a Black buff Rooster. Hy-lines are egg laying machines, they lay on average an egg a day, nice size brown eggs! We cross them with the Rhode Island Reds to get a little bigger frame so when these have completed their laying life, they are great for the freezer too! These are sold "Straight Run", you can't sex them at this age.
