The AAWS-M was to receive the designation FGM-148… 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘑𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯.⁣⁣On the other side of the Pacific, Gainax’s critically-acclaimed OVA series 𝘎𝘶𝘯𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 was released during this time as well. This was the directorial debit of Hideaki Anno, who would later go on to helm 𝘕𝘦𝘰𝘯 𝘎𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘌𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯.
