Mouton Vest

This page just for future reference.   We are looking for the right tailors! The Mouton Vest is $1925 up to size 2X.  Larger sizes will incur additional cost as these tend to require custom fitting. Price may also vary somewhat depending upon any customization requests. The Mouton Vest is a coat without sleeves ... warm, windproof. Super-warm around the body core and totally eliminates the bulked-up feeling that can be created by the sleeves of a heavy jacket. Construction is similar to that of our Mouton Jacket. The outside of the Vest is our own FullWeight Merino Jacquard Fabric. The inside of the Vest is lined with the namesake Mouton, an extremely select grade of natural lamb pelt. Less than 1% of American lambs have a fleece that is soft and silky enough to grade out to Mouton. The pelt is tanned and dyed brown (other colors are possible), and trimmed to a uniform 5/8 inch (1.6 cm).
