St. Augustine Floratam Sod Plugs

St. Augustine Floratam sod plugs are a cost-effective way to establish or repair lawns in warm climates, providing a durable and relatively low-maintenance option. The dense growth of Floratam plugs creates a thick turf that leaves little room for weeds to take root, reducing the need for herbicides and promoting a healthier lawn. Floratam is known for its excellent heat tolerance and moderate drought tolerance, making it suitable for warmer climates, sunny locations, and periods of limited rainfall.  It thrives in Florida's heat and humidity, putting on vigorous growth during the late spring and summer months. Floratam can tolerate some shade, but it performs best with at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.  Floratam is resistant to the St. Augustine Decline (SAD) virus, which was a significant issue for this type of grass in the past.  Planting Plugs. Remove any existing sod/weeds from the area. For Floratam St. Augustine grass, a spacing of 12-18 inches apart is recommended,
