Perhaps the most recognizable symbol of Celtic culture is the Triquetra, or Trinity Knot. Because of its popularity, this symbol was later adopted by other cultures and religions, and its meaning and symbolism grew and changed somewhat over time. The Celts believed the most important things came in threes: the three domains (earth, sea, and sky), the three elements, and the three stages of life. Wiccans and Pagans consider the Trinity Knot to be a symbol of the forces of nature, and the three-fold nature of Goddess as mother, maiden, and crone. Christians believe it to representative of the Holy Trinity of Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But overall, the Triquetra or Trinity Knot often symbolizes eternal love, longevity, and the continuous cycle of life. Regardless of the meaning, we designed this pendant so it could be worn with any attire, be it historic or contemporary.DETAILS- Measures 1.6 inches tall (with the bail on top).- Measures 1.2 inches across.
